The first Middle School student government event of the year was a tremendous success! More than 80 students gathered at Sparez Bowling on Wednesday night for bowling and pizza, with trophies awarded the following day recognizing the evening’s outstanding achievements including highest score, consecutive strikes, and most gutter balls. A special thank you to Mr. Reiner for organizing the event with the student government officers, as well as the many teachers who came out to help and cheer on the students.
The Posnack middle school celebrated the opening of their Posnack Nosh Cafe. Sponsored by the student government, students will be selling bagels, donuts and other “noshes” every Friday morning from 7:30-8:00 am.
Seventh grade students in Mr. Reiner’s Course 3 class participated in a hands-on activity to create a real-life version of a coordinate plane, and used action figures to identify the correct quadrant for a specified pair. Further proof about the value of relating math to real life.
Posnack art students are creating artwork inspired by the upcoming Middle School production, Alice in Wonderland. Students learned about the element of “space” and how to illustrate this through perspective, scale, color and placement. Much of this artwork will be on display during the show and again at our annual Art Walk.
