This is accomplished through our integrated curriculum where students are motivated to be active learners and participants in our school community. While our student body comes from a wide range of Jewish backgrounds, when they come together at the Posnack School, everyone feels at home. Incoming students are embraced by the warmth of our teachers, administration, and fellow students. Application Schedule

The Posnack School accepts admission applications for Kindergarten through the 5th grade all year long, but we do suggest that you start the process in November for the following school year. The Admissions Committee meets to review each applicant’s file once we have received all required information. Parents will receive a letter of acceptance followed by an enrollment & tuition agreement. Applicants have two weeks to return the executed agreement along with their deposit.

After submission of the application, and appropriate fees you will receive notification informing you that an evaluation should be scheduled with the school. The required evaluation will assess the student’s school readiness and style of learning, emphasizing areas of strength and weakness. This evaluation and several other factors/criteria will be used to reach an admission decision.

Teacher & HOS Recommendations

Parents must sign the school release form and give the signed release, the teacher recommendation, and Head of School forms to your child’s current teacher. The current school will then return the forms directly to Posnack East. Please note, our school cannot accept forms that have been hand-delivered to us. All forms must be sent directly from your child’s current school.

Class Visits

Prospective students must plan to spend one day in their age appropriate classroom. Students must arrive at 8:00 am and will be dismissed at 2:00 pm. During this visit, students participate in all classroom activities. The applicants will be tested during the day of the visit. Our admissions office will arrange the time directly with the classroom teachers.

Financial  Assistance

Families may apply for Financial Assistance after the student has been accepted and the application and enrollment fees are submitted to the School. Financial assistance is available on a first come first served basis. See information below

All applications should be received by January 15, 2020. Applications submitted after January 15, 2020 will be accepted as space is available. Applicants will be placed on a waiting list if the grade to which they are applying reaches its capacity.

Admissions Decisions

The Admissions Committee will meet to determine an admissions decision for each applicant within two (2) weeks of completion of all steps in the application process. Families will then be notified of the admission decision. If the student is accepted, a signed Enrollment Contract and a $500 non-refundable registration fee are required within ten (10) days to secure the accepted student’s spot.
