Links to Learning
This Year’s Links to Learning Honoree
Links to Learning is thrilled to announce that Shari Silverstein will be honored at our 15th Annual Luncheon on Sunday, February 24, 2019.
Shari has made enormous contributions to our South Florida community both professionally and as a volunteer. She has been a member of the Posnack School PTO since her daughters started school here in 2012 and the Posnack School PTO President since 2016. Over these last six years, Shari has brought her many skill and talents to her work with the Posnack School PTO, leading committees for events like our Lag B’Omer festivities, Pizza in the Sukkah, and the Children’s Chanukah Shop. She was instrumental in developing our online Spirit Store, Farmers Market, and inaugural Color Run, working tirelessly to bring these innovative programs to life. If you do not know Shari personally, you have likely seen her on campus chairing meetings, speaking to school leadership and staff, running events, and going out of her way to share her love of our school with everyone around her.
Shari and her husband Keith are the proud parents of two Posnack School students, Gabriella (Class of 2025) and Annabel (Class of 2026). They met on a blind date fourteen years ago. Sparks flew and they married soon after, moving to Florida eight years ago where Shari began working as the Director of Educational Resources and Professional Development for CAJE of Broward County. She entered private practice four years ago, specializing in psychoeducational evaluations for students serving Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.
Shari earned her bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies and her master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Syracuse University, where she served as president of Hillel. In 1996, she moved to New York City to complete her graduate training at NYU, receiving her license to practice as a psychologist from the New York State Department of Mental Health. Shari completed her post-graduate training at the Ramaz School on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and at the Rusk Institute-NYU School of Medicine. She spent three years working as a bilingual psychologist at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House and served as the Vice President of the New York State Association of Independent Schools.
Please join us in congratulating Shari for her many accomplishments and contributions as we honor her at our 15th Annual Links to Learning luncheon on Sunday, February 24, 2019.
About Links to Learning
Links to Learning supports our school’s ever-evolving technology needs. The goal of Links has been L’Dor V’Dor, generation to generation, of parents working and being “linked” together for the common cause of enhancing our children’s education.
Over the last 15 years, Links to Learning has raised funds to help provide the newest educational tools, state-of-the-art equipment, and technology for our students and faculty. We’ve helped make Posnack School a true innovator in 21st-century learning.
We encourage you to support Links by becoming a member. Through our social events and annual membership luncheon, we are able to make a difference in the lives of our children as we continue to promote academic excellence and be a leader in the Jewish Day School arena.
We draw strength from those who came before us and will strive to continue to build strong foundations for those who will follow in our footsteps.
We hope you’ll join us and get “Linked” this year!
