Links to Learning

Lisa Djamal will be honored at the 14th Annual Links to Learning Luncheon on February 25, 2018.

Links to Learning supports our school’s ever evolving technology needs. The goal of Links has been L’Dor V’Dor, generation to generation, of parents working and being “linked” together for the common cause of enhancing our children’s education.

Over the last 14 years, Links to Learning has raised funds to help provide the newest educational tools, state-of-the-art equipment and technology for our students and faculty. We’ve helped make Posnack School a true innovator in 21st century learning.

Links to Learning is delighted to announce that its 2018 Honoree will be Lisa Djamal. Lisa has been involved in Posnack School for the past twenty years. She and her husband Soly have been proud Posnack School parents since 1998. All five of their children, Kami, Andie, Jake, Zach, and Gabe, are Posnack School RAMS. Lisa has served on the Posnack School Booster Club, Posnack School PTO, Moot Beit Din Committee, Finance Committee, Retention Board, Education and Judaic Committees, as well as taking on the role of class parent. Lisa is currently a member of the Posnack School Board of Trustees and assists in the Admissions Department, where she can often be found proudly giving tours to future families.

Laura Spunt has been named the 2018 Links to Learning Aleph Award recipient. Laura joined the Posnack School family eleven years ago as a faculty member teaching math in the Middle School. She began teaching in the High School in 2017. Laura has served as both Middle School Student Government and National Junior Honor Society advisor. Throughout her career, Laura has exhibited unwavering dedication to her students inside and outside the classroom. She was born in Florida and grew up in Plantation. Laura attended the University of South Florida, where she served as president of USF Hillel. Laura and her husband Adam have been married ten years and have two beautiful children, Max (Class of 2029) and Riley (Class of 2034). In her spare time, Laura likes to travel and solve Sudoku puzzles.

We encourage you to support Links by becoming a member. Through our social events and annual membership luncheon, we are able to make a difference in the lives of our children as we continue to promote academic excellence and be a leader in the Jewish Day School arena.

We draw strength from those who came before us and will strive to continue to build strong foundations for those who will follow in our footsteps.

We hope you’ll join us and get “Linked” this year!
