Dear Posnack Parents and Community:
The 2014-15 school year, our school’s 40th anniversary, is proving to be our most exciting year yet for our children.
Our talented students, dedicated faculty, challenging and forward-looking curriculum, and our forty year tradition of success make Posnack a truly special place. Our mission is to deliver excellence in all of our secular and Judaics classes, as well as in our athletics, fine arts, and other extra-curricular programming. Simply put, our vision is to be a Premier K-12 Jewish College Preparatory School.
This school year, our school will be:
- Sending our 8th grade students to Washington D.C. for the first time for an outstanding educational and community building experience. After learning about the inner workings and history of the U.S. government, our 8th graders will have the opportunity to experience firsthand what they learned about in the classroom throughout the year.
- Broadcasting the morning news via video throughout our high school classrooms. Thanks to two generous gifts, our high school has a full production studio with all the media technology necessary to produce student-run media productions, including Ram News.
- Redoing the lower school playground with new flooring and exciting new equipment thanks to a generous lead gift with support.
The largest project of the school year is the construction of our new state-of-the art Paul and Maggie Fischer High School and Ram Gym. With completion scheduled for August 2015, the construction is well under way. When completed our new high school building complex will compete with other leading educational complexes from throughout the country.
It is an historic time to be at Posnack. We are positioning ourselves to be at the forefront of education and leaders of our greater Jewish community. Together, we are making a difference not only for our children and this generation but for those who will follow.
Thank you to all of our Posnack families who are supporting our school by choosing Posnack for the education of their children. Our school has reached this incredible milestone of 40 years because of parents like you who believe that a child’s education should include a Jewish Day school experience.
I welcome all of our parents to get involved in our school’s vision for the future. If you would like a personal virtual tour of the new high school building and gymnasium, please contact my executive assistant, Lynda Tohar at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a date and time. There are so many different ways to get involved in this once-in-a-lifetime project, and l look forward to sharing the options with you.
If you have not yet reserved your tickets to our 4th Annual Gala, honoring Julia and Dr. David Steiner and Libo Fineberg, our Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, be sure to purchase them today so you will not miss one of our signature celebration events of the year. You only celebrate 40 years once!
Together, we will continue the traditions of our school’s storied past, and embark on a journey that leads to a brilliant future for our children.
