Posnack Lower School Junior K & Kindergarten Students Bake “Rainbow” Challahs
Junior kindergarten and kindergarten students braided their very own “rainbow” challahs in honor of Parashat Noach. After the Flood, Hashem promised to never again make a flood that would destroy the world. Hashem created the rainbow as a sign, a reminder of this promise, He made with the world. It is for this reason that when you see a rainbow you get the special Mitzvah to make a bracha (blessing).
“Blessed are You, G‑d, Ruler of the world, who remembers the covenant, who is faithful to His covenant, and who stands by His word.”
