David Posnack Jewish Day School will continue to partner with MobileMeIT for the purchase of your tablet-pc for the 2014-2015 school year. The link below will take you to the site where you can order your tablet-pc. The options for this year are as follows:

Option 1:
Fujitsu Q702 Hybrid Tablet-PC, similar to the configuration being used by this year’s 5th grade, but is bundled with a keyboard dock and extra battery, 3 year accidental damage warranty.

Option 2:
Fujitsu Q704 Tablet-PC with either

  • a keyboard cover/no extra battery/3 year accidental damage warranty or
  • a keyboard dock/extra battery/3 year accidental damage warranty

Please watch this video to see a comparison of the different options:

The tablet-pc will be sent directly to the school to be reimaged. The school will remove any non-essential programs and install all software that students will need for the upcoming school year.  An email notification will be sent to you to confirm that the school has received your tablet-pc. A special “Out-of-the Box” Training Event will be held for 6th grade students and parents, once school starts in August. At this time, students will receive their new tablet-pc. Parents are encouraged to attend, as we will be discussing important information regarding safety, specific rules, as well as initial basic training. Students in grades 7-12 purchasing a new tablet-pc will receive it prior to the start of school.

Please note: There may be other accessories listed on the website, and these are strictly optional. We have bundled the required components into the unit price.

The only additional purchase required is a sturdy carrying case with a shoulder strap. We DO NOT recommend cases that slip into the backpack. Students who put their tablet-pc in their backpack often have more significant damage to their computers than those students who carry their tablet-pc in a separate carrying case.

To ensure that students’ tablet-pcs will be ready for the start of the school year, families should order by no later than July 15, 2014.
