Students Participate in Unique Holocaust Oral History Project
Posnack Jewish Day School has been selected to participate in Names, Not Numbers – an interactive, multi-media Holocaust project created by educator, Tova Fish-Rosenberg. This program transforms the traditional study of the Holocaust into an interactive history program focused on the survivors’ lived experiences. Eighth Grade students under the direction of Mrs. Taly Furer will engage in serious, meaningful dialogue with the survivors and forge relationships with them. Students will also learn interviewing techniques, documentary film tools, and editing skills. Throughout the program, the students work with professional journalists, newspaper editors, filmmakers, and Holocaust scholars. Posnack School is grateful for being chosen to participate in this project which is generously supported by a prominent national foundation. The students look forward to sharing their work with our school community.
