At Hochberg Lower School (East Campus), we want all our students’ experiences to be positive ones. Our straightforward admissions process lets prospective students and their families concentrate on things that are more important than forms. Hochberg Lower School accepts applications for in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

Application Schedule

The Admissions Committee meets to review each applicant’s file once we have received all required information. Parents will receive a letter of acceptance followed by an enrollment & tuition agreement. Applicants have two weeks to return the executed agreement along with their deposit.

Testing

Hochberg Lower School–The Best Investment You’ll Ever Make

The Hochberg Lower School offers our students a unique, challenging, educational experience, by combining an intensive, focused general education with an innovative, exciting Jewish curriculum. At East Campus we are concerned not only with our students’ academic accomplishments, but also with their social and character development. We believe that this can be achieved most successfully when parents and school staff work together in a nurturing environment in order to ensure our children’s well-being.

Application Fee (new students)

$250 non-refundable

Enrollment Fee

New students: There is a $500 non-refundable/non-transferrable enrollment fee due within one week of acceptance for new students. The non-refundable fee reserves a seat for the next school year, subject to satisfactory completion of the current year’s academic work, a student’s good standing, and the family’s support of the school’s mission and philosophy.

Additionally, each new student is responsible for paying a one-time matriculation fee of $1,250, which is included in the tuition agreement.

Returning students: There is a $500 non-refundable/non-transferable re-enrollment fee due by December 18, 2025. The non-refundable fee reserves a seat for the next school year, subject to satisfactory completion of the current year’s academic work, a student’s good standing, and the family’s support of the school’s mission and philosophy

Campus and Security Fees

Each student is responsible for a $1,550 Campus Fee. This fee includes PTO membership and helps to offset facility costs, technological infrastructure, and security costs including but not limited to cyber infrastructure, access control, and safeguard exterior. The fee is included in the family’s tuition agreement.

Academic Resource (AR) Fees

Grades K-5 (Level 2): $12,450
Grades 3-5 (Level I): $6,195

Credit Card Fee

There is a 3% convenience fee for all credit card transactions.

Fundraising

It is expected that all families will contribute to the Hochberg Lower School Fund at their level of financial ability. The Fund is the cornerstone of Hochberg Lower School’s advancement program and plays a critical role in helping our school maintain its high level of academic excellence.

Sibling Discounts

Two or more children enrolled – younger siblings receive a $500 discount per additional child.

Full Prepayment

For the 2026-2027 school year, if payment in full is received by April 15, 2026, there is a 3% tuition discount.

Financial Assistance–Help When You Need It

We recognize that paying for a day school education can be challenging and we want to help families meet that challenge. Hochberg Lower School is committed to educating Jewish children regardless of a family’s ability to pay the full cost of tuition.

Financial need is determined by the ability to meet educational expenses, not on a willingness to pay. Awards are annual, contingent upon continuing eligibility and availability of funds. The financial assistance (FA) process is strictly confidential.

Financial Assistance (FA) documents will not be accepted or processed until the Enrollment & Tuition Agreement has been signed and all monies due to Posnack School are paid and up to date.

Hochberg Lower School accepts Step Up for Students which includes the Private School Scholarship (FTC & FES-EO) and the Family Empowerment Scholarship – Unique Abilities. For more information, click here or visit their website at Stepupforstudents.org.

Deadlines:

Financial Assistance applications for existing Posnack School families are due no later than January 16, 2026. The signed Enrollment and Tuition Agreement and the non-refundable/non-transferable registration fee are required before applying for financial assistance.

For new families, the FA application is due one week from submitting the signed Enrollment and Tuition Agreement and the non-refundable/non-transferable registration fee.

All financial assistance applications submitted after the deadline will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Adhering to the deadline and responding to missing information is critical.
