Israeli Hero Rachel Edri Shares Her Story
Students in the 5th and 6th Grades had a special opportunity to meet Rachel Edri, a survivor of the October 7th attacks, who, through quick-wittedness and kindness saved herself and her husband. When she discovered five terrorists hiding in her house in Ofakim, Savta (Grandma) Rachel offered them food and drink. Meanwhile, her son was part of the police detail that surrounded the house. After about 20 hours, the SWAT team was able to take control and the couple escaped. Rachel Edri has been heralded as a hero in Israel and around the world for her bravery.
