4th Grade Learns About the Power of Words for Rosh Hashanah
In preparation for Rosh Hashanah, 4th Grade students learned about the important Jewish value of koach hadibur (power of words). To better understand the concept they squeezed toothpaste out of a tube and had to try and put it back using only a toothpick. Just as the toothpaste was nearly impossible to put back in the tube, so too are words hard to take back once they leave the mouth. The students also made special honey dishes to be used at their holiday tables.
