A Sweet Evening at Links to Learning’s Babka & Vodka Event

Thank you to Rachel Antevy, Sharon Brandt, Adi Reinstein, and Risa Chopp for a fabulous evening!  Rebettzin Malky Goodman guided the full room of women on how to make a delicious babka. Thank you to Posnack School parent Joshua Present for the beautiful photographs of the event.

Links to Learning, Posnack School’s women’s organization dedicated to keeping the school at the forefront of technology, held its first fundraising event of the 2018-2019 school year. Babka & Vodka brought out over 100 women – new parents, past Links honorees, faculty and guests – for a fun evening of sushi, cocktails, and babka-making.

Following brief introductions and announcement of this year’s Links honoree: Posnack School PTO President Shari Silverstein, attendees donned custom aprons and rolled up their sleeves for the action. Malky Goodman, co-director of the neighboring Chabad of Monterra and a local baking legend, guided the women as they mixed, kneaded and rolled dough into beautiful chocolate-filled concoctions.

The evening was one of the most successful Links to Learning event yet. Co-chairs Adi Reinstein and Risa Chopp hand selected the committee of enthusiastic and invaluable volunteers to assist them in bringing the event to fruition. Weeks of planning, supply shopping and pre-measuring ingredients culminated in a truly special evening that reinforced the community feel and altruistic spirit that is unique to Posnack School.
