Freshmen Engineering Students Take 4th Place with “Sixth Sense” Alarm
Posnack School engineering students competed at the CIJE Innovation Day Conference at Katz Yeshiva High School this week. Cameron M. and Yardena R. of the Class of 2022 placed 4th in the competition which draws entries from Jewish schools across the state. Their project, “The Sixth Sense,” is an alarm designed to reduce the body’s panic reaction and help people make rational, informed decisions in emergencies. The device transmits information in a calm, specific, and concise manner, using an odor and different colored lights to communicate different types of emergencies. Kol ha-kavod.
