Honoring Black History Month with Broward County State Attorney Harold Pryor

February is Black History Month and Fischer High School students began their exploration of the African American experience this year in discussion with Harold Pryor, State Attorney of Broward County. Mr. Pryor spoke about diversity, the importance of reflecting on the history of Black people in America, and how that history resonates for all Americans. His ultimate message was one that extends far beyond any single community. He counseled students to “…never forget your history and where you came from. In life there will be struggles, don’t give up, and when people doubt you, work hard to prove them wrong.”
