Marching RAMs Perform at the Magic Kingdom
David Posnack Jewish Day School’s marching band, the Marching RAMs, participated in its second Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom parade. The Marching RAMs are the only Jewish day school marching band currently active in the United States. Last year was the band’s first performance—and the first by any Jewish day school—at the Magic Kingdom. The band, which was established in 2022, is comprised of middle and high school musicians. Zohar Schahar, Posnack School’s Director of Music Education said, “There are few marching band opportunities like a Magic Kingdom parade. It’s especially meaningful for kids from Florida who grow up visiting the Magic Kingdom from the time they’re little.” Head of School, Dr. Richard Cuenca, noted, “Being invited to the Magic Kingdom is an affirmation of the hard work and dedication of our student musicians, their teachers, and their parents. Posnack School students strive for excellence in everything they do. It’s a well-deserved honor.” Kol ha-kavod, Marching RAMs!!!
