Middle School Student Ben D’s Poem Selected by 2018 Holocaust Reflection Contest

Middle School Student, Ben D. won 2nd place in the middle school category in this year’s Holocaust Reflection Contest for his poem, “Lost Identity.” His was one of 1,300 entries to the contest held annually by Nova Southeastern University and the Holocaust Learning and Education Fund. The original essays, poems, visual art, and films submitted by students from across the state of Florida exhibited thoughtfulness, creativity, and passion inspired by the lessons of Holocaust survivors. Ben will be recognized along with the other award-winning Florida teachers and students on Sunday, March 11 from 10:00 am to noon in the Adolfo & Marisela Cotilla Gallery of the Alvin Sherman Library at Nova Southeastern University.
