Students Begin Training for Names, Not Numbers Program
The 20 students participating in this year’s Names, Not Numbers program spent Thursday at the Mania and Max Nudel Holocaust Learning Center at David Posnack JCC. Mrs. Zaslow opened the program with an introduction and was followed by remarks from the program’s creator, Tova Fish-Rosenberg. Students also learned about the Holocaust, through the various medium in the Center, from Rabbi Dr. Leon Weissberg. Journalist, Michael Behar, shared interviewing techniques and strategies to engage the interviewee. Mrs. Greenberg (the teacher sponsor) and Rabbi Shlomie concluded the day with their remarks about the meaning and importance of the program.
