A Jewish JrK-12 College Preparatory School Serving South Florida

The halls of Posnack were filled with energy, creativity, and plenty of school spirit this week as students from JrK through 12th grade celebrated Ruach Week in honor of the joyful month of Adar and the upcoming holiday of Purim.

The celebration began with Israel Pride Day, as students proudly came dressed in blue and white, waving flags and wearing their favorite Israel-themed shirts. From the youngest learners to high school seniors, the school community showed their love and connection to Israel in a sea of blue and white.

The next day brought even more excitement with Costume Day. Lower School students arrived in imaginative costumes to celebrate the miracles of Purim, while Middle School students took part in a lively A-Period Theme Competition, showcasing creative group costumes and class spirit. Fischer High School students also joined the fun, bringing their own unique flair to the day’s festivities.

Midweek, students showed their team pride during Sports Jersey Day, filling the campus with jerseys and shirts representing favorite teams and sports from near and far.

Thursday brought a burst of color and creativity across campus. Lower School students helped “Color the World with Kindness” by dressing head to toe in their grade’s assigned color, creating a vibrant rainbow throughout the building. Meanwhile, Upper School students traveled through time, arriving dressed in styles from different decades—from the groovy 1970s to the bold fashions of the 1990s.

The week concluded with a meaningful and playful Dress As… Day. Lower School students came dressed as people they admire and look up to, celebrating the role models who inspire them. Upper School students wrapped up the week with laughter by dressing as their favorite faculty and staff members—complete with signature outfits and beloved catchphrases.

Throughout the week, the Posnack community truly embodied the mitzvah “משנכנס אדר מרבין בשמחה” — “When the month of Adar begins, we increase our joy.” Ruach Week was a wonderful reminder of the spirit, creativity, and unity that make our school community so special.
