Hochberg Lower School Students Learn About Living with a Disability
Hochberg Lower School 3rd-5th Grade students had the wonderful opportunity to hear from a local hero living with a visual impairment. East Campus’ Coach Ben Rosenthal spoke to the students for visual and hard of hearing awareness month. Coach Ben talked about what life is like with a disability, sharing what it was like growing up visually impaired and the challenges he had to overcome. The students benefitted greatly from learning about disability from someone they know so well. They asked thoughtful question and listened intently as Coach Ben shared his experiences. Thank you to our Chesed Committee for helping us recognize Coach Ben. Thanks to Coach Ben for sharing his experiences. Our 4th Grade students will be visiting Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and bringing gifts they made for the people living there.
