Kashrut – An Insight into Human Psychology
Parashat Shemini introduces us to the laws of kashrut. Chapter 11 in Sefer Vayikrah, Leviticus, lists animals we can and cannot eat. This begs the question, why isn’t it enough for the Torah to tell us which birds, mammals, and fish are permitted without also telling us which ones are forbidden?
