Our student journalists in the lower school newspaper club had a special visitor! Kris Anderson told our students what it is like to be an anchorman for NBC News. Besides waking up at 3:00 am to bring the news to viewers from 5:00 am to 6:58 am each weekday, Mr. Anderson enjoys interviewing people and especially reporting happy stories. He shared how important it is to be prepared to go live each day, knowing that the script and schedule can change at a moment’s notice.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions to Mr. Anderson about why he became a journalist and he told them how important it is that their own unique voices shine through in the articles they are writing. He is excited to receive a copy of our very first Posnack Lower School newspaper soon.
