Mandatory Meetings for Boys and Girls High School Basketball, Monday, August 26, 3:30 PM
The will be mandatory meetings for all Fischer High School students interested in playing on the boys or girls high school basketball teams. The meetings will take place on Monday, August 26 at 3:30 pm in the RAM Gymnasium. Click for details.
Posnack School Student Chalk Up More Wins at Maccabi Games
Fischer High School student, Rachel C., is representing the North Miami Beach JCC at the JCC Maccabi Games and ArtsFestl in Detroit. Her team took the silver medal in volleyball and she was awarded a Midot medal. Kol ha-kavod.
The Answer to Bertrand Russell
Many years ago, the Nobel Prize winner, mathematician, and thinker, Bertrand Russell, was interviewed by Look Magazine. The topic of the interview was Russell’s well-known position on agnosticism to which he lent his enormous intellectual powers to support. After many questions, Russell was finally asked, “What kind of evidence would convince you that God exists?” This week’s Torah portion, Ve’etchanan, records the event that provides evidence that would even satisfy Russell.
