Students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades are preparing for election day by practicing their speeches and displaying their posters in the classrooms and lower school hallway. Students will be voting for President, Vice President, Secretary and Chesed Coordinator and Class Representatives will be voted for by each homeroom. The lower school is ready to have our student leaders lead the way by developing meaningful programs and activities.
In an ongoing effort to prepare our students to become thoughtful, giving leaders of the Jewish community, while gaining valuable experience, we will be holding Student Council elections for the 2025-2026 school year on Friday, November 21, 2025.
The student council will meet weekly with Ms. Bernstein, Ms. Sigal and Mr. Leibowitz to discuss how they can infuse the core Jewish values of Chesed (kindness), Tzedakah (charity), and Tikkun Olam (social action) into our school community. In addition, they will be responsible for being a Dugma Ishit (role model) and setting an example of leadership and responsibility for the lower school students.
