Posnack School student Sofia G. was awarded one of two grand prizes in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery’s Teen Portrait Competition. This week’s Torah portion, Yitro, contains the section of the Bible, known to the world as the “Decalogue,” or the “10 Commandments.” While it is fair to say that this portion of the Torah is widely known and referred to in all parts of the civilized world, its true content and structure are not well known.
The Class of 2020’s Ellie N. has qualified as a finalist in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program. Ellie is one of only 15,000 seniors nationwide to be named finalists.
