This coming Monday, January 20, is designated as Dr. Martin Luther King Day across the United States. It has been officially observed in all 50 States since 2000. Dr. King’s life focus revolved around the commands of the Torah that we refer to as mitzvot between individuals and other people, מצות בין אדם לחברו. This is not to say that the mitzvot between humanity and God, מצות בין אדם למקום, were not important to him but how we treat our fellow human beings reflected to him a person’s true inner core.

Posnack School’s first annual Jewish Life on College Campus Expo was a great success. The event was attended by representatives from 35 Jewish life on campus and Israel advocacy organizations at colleges throughout the United States. Click for photos.

Six Posnack Digital Photography students are finalists in the Drexel University High School Photography Competition. A record breaking 2800 images were submitted and only 171 photographs from across the United States were chosen to be on exhibit at Drexel’s Photography Gallery in Philadelphia, February 8 through March 1. The Chanukah cards that our middle school students and lower school student council made were hand delivered today to the amazing children at ALEH. Such a special place doing amazing things for severely disabled children in Israel. Click for photos.

Posnack School’s 45th Anniversary Celebration was a huge success! Founding families, past presidents, alumni, and current families filled the room. The evening started with a meaningful Havaddlah service lead by our very own Rabbi Kaplan, Rabbi Adi, and Andrew Leibowitz. Everyone enjoyed the mentalist, aerialists, and laser light show, and schmoozing with new and old friends. Click for photos.

Posnack School PTO did it again! This year’s Winterfest was so cool!
